How much do you recommend running or swimming daily? what are the best stats possible that give you the best chance for success as long as you dont quit? do you have any training tips? how did you get prepared?

Thank you for your service.

Hey brother great questions! Although it would take me to write a book to answer all of them, let's start with me asking you: What are you currently doing for your training? Do you own rocket fins? Are you aware that the vast majority of the water training at INDOC is UNDER the water? Swimming is just a prerequisite to get accepted into training. Once you're at INDOC, the ABOVE surface swimming is all done with rocket fins without using your arms to propel yourself.

Thank you for the reply! I currently swim everyday I switch back and forth from distance to underwater drills ( water confidence ) although I don't really know many drills that will actually help me rather than just waste time and not do much. I do not own fins yet Do you recommend any type? Yes I did know the majority is underwater and that's where most guys quit. I'm trying to do anything in my power to prepare my self for that!

Thanks again Mr.Sweet!

Hey are you located in ga, if so maybe we could meet up and do some water training together, somethings that I do(only of i have a pt buddy) is dolphin swims, brick dives (10 lbs brick at bottom of pool),drown proofing(I'm terrible at),treading water for a long time, and as stupid as this may sound diving to the bottom of a pool and tying a complex knot. I talked with my recruiter about it and he told me to get used to being underwater without goggles and to complete simple tasks to get your body used to being in an environment where you can't breathe, and still be able to keep calm. Hope this can help you out a litte bit.
